My Panasonic SDR-S26 digital camera will not connect to iMac and I have Snow Leopard, so I can't upload video from the chip into iMovie or iphoto. when I connect with my USB cable, nothing shows up on the iMac saying that the camera or a 'N0_NAME' icon is connected, as the manual says is supposed to happen. Anyone know how to solve this? I have tried several combinations. I have had a turned off, and then turn it on after I connect the cable. I have turned it on before connecting the cable. I have tried both of these combinations in both playback mode as well as PC mode as the manual suggests..none of these seem to work. Dec 07, 2009 - by djpriz3 - Panasonic PV-GS35 will not connect to iMac, so can't upload video from mini DV cassettes into iMovie. when I connect with my USB cable, nothing shows up on the iMac saying that the camera or a 'N0_NAME' icon is connected, as the manual says is supposed to happen. Anyone know how to solve this? Do you recommend I put it in playback mode or PC mode on the camcorder, or does it matter? The USB cord is fine b/c I have used it for other things. I do not have another MAC to try to connect the camera to. I have connected to a PC before and it worked fine. There seems to be something specific to the iMac that will not let it connect. The manual said that the driver was standard and included with the USB driver on the machine, so no need to download a Mac driver..does anyone know if I actually need to download another driver so that the iMac recognizes the video camera? Do you have a link to that driver? THANKS
